Adding to the quality of living for a couple in Aalst was priority number one for this house extension. James looked at the daily life cycle of the couple and noticed that their daily routine was set around the kitchen and garden area. So making the garden seemingly part of the living area was the basis for this design. Large glass openings set onto the patio area give sight lines from the kitchen through to the living area, but still incorperate a feeling of privacy between the two. The extension has a large storage area behind the kitchen to declutter the house and can be changed into a bedroom with en-suite capabilities if the need arrises in the coming years, making this design right for now but also future-proof.
